Rhiana Yazzie

Biography

Rhiana Yazzie is a Navajo playwright, actor, and filmmaker. Born to an enrolled Navajo Nation family, she grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and began telling stories from a young age. Yazzie earned a master's degree in professional writing from the University of Southern California and went on to found New Native Theater in 2009, producing authentic Native American stories for the stage.
