Biography

Julie Newmar is a renowned American actress and singer, known for her iconic role as Catwoman in the Batman television series from 1966 to 1967. She won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play for her portrayal of Katrin Sveg in the Broadway production of The Marriage-Go-Round in 1958. Newmar also reprised her role as Catwoman 50 years later in the animated feature films Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders and Batman vs. Two-Face, both released in 2016 and 2017.
