Biography

Richard Baker is a retired American special make-up effects creator and actor, known for his creature designs and effects that have earned him a record seven Academy Award wins for Best Makeup from eleven nominations. He began creating artificial body parts as a teenager and worked on iconic films like The Exorcist and It's Alive before winning the inaugural award for An American Werewolf in London. Baker received numerous accolades, including the Jack Pierce Lifetime Achievement Award and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
