Ryota Yamasato is a Japanese comedian and television personality born on April 14, 1977. He rose to fame in the 2000s as one half of the manzai comedy duo Nankai Candies, taking on the role of the tsukkomi. The duo won several awards, including the 25th ABC Newcomer Comedian Grand Prix Newcomer Award in 2004, which led to increased television appearances. Yamasato also gained international recognition as a commentator on the reality television series Terrace House.
