Jimmy Wales

Biography

Jimmy Donal Wales, born August 8, 1966, is an American and British internet entrepreneur. He co-founded Wikipedia, a nonprofit free encyclopedia, and Fandom, a for-profit wiki hosting service. Wales previously worked as a financial trader and was a chief research officer before shifting focus to the internet economy. He has served on the Wikimedia Foundation board of trustees since its creation.
