Lee Quiñones

Biography

George Lee Quiñones is a Puerto Rican artist and actor born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, and raised on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. As a prominent figure in the 1970s New York City subway graffiti scene, Quiñones created massive murals and was part of the influential Fabulous Five crew. His work often incorporated popular culture and carried political messages, earning him recognition as a pioneer in street art.
