David Crosby

Biography

David Van Cortlandt Crosby was an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist who helped pioneer folk rock and psychedelia in the mid-1960s as a member of the Byrds. He later formed the supergroup Crosby, Stills & Nash with Stephen Stills and Graham Nash, winning the Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 1969. Crosby's outspoken personality and politics made him an emblematic figure of the counterculture movement.
