Biography

Tsuruko Shōfukutei is a renowned Japanese comedian and radio personality, born in 1948 in Osaka. As a student, he began performing in school plays and discovered his passion for radio, eventually studying to become a comedian. Shōfukutei's career spans multiple generations of the Ukanegoro school of osusume, with notable contemporaries including 6th-generation master, 6th-gentleman, and 4th-gentleman, Shōfukutei is currently the head disciple of the esteemed master, 5th-generation Shōfukutei, Matsuzuru.
