Andrew Yang is a Taiwanese American entrepreneur, philanthropist, and 2020 Democratic presidential candidate. He founded Venture for America and proposed a monthly universal basic income of $1,000 to offset job displacement by automation. Yang joined CNN as a political commentator after suspending his presidential campaign and co-founded the Forward Party, a political party and action committee, in 2021.
