Samuel Joseph Williams was a Tony Award-winning actor known for his breakout role as Paul in the musical A Chorus Line. Born on November 13, 1948, in Trenton, New Jersey, Williams began taking dance classes at age 8, which led to his introduction to the performing arts. He went on to win the 1976 Tony Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Musical, cementing his success on Broadway.
