Liu Ching

Biography

Liu Ching began her career as Xiao Chunmei, training in Taiwanese opera with the Riyueyuan Opera Troupe. She caught the attention of producers and directors, landing notable roles in "Vengeance of the Phoenix Sisters" (1968) and "The Bride Who Returned from Hell" (1965). These early performances showcased her versatility, playing both male and female roles in over 30 Taiwanese opera films during her two-year tenure.
