She studied theater performance at New York University and gained recognition for her roles as Cindi Whitehall in the 2009 film Miss March and Young Roxanne Simpson in the Marvel Comic's superhero film Ghost Rider. Alessi is also known for her role as Lia Mathers on the FOX television show Standoff.
