Amelia Earhart
Biography
Amelia Earhart was a trailblazing aviator and pioneering figure of early flight. In 1928, she became the first female passenger to cross the Atlantic by airplane, and in 1932, she made history by becoming the first woman to complete a nonstop solo transatlantic flight. Her advocacy for commercial air travel and promotion of female pilots earned her numerous accolades, including the Distinguished Flying Cross.
