Biography

Zahra Newman is a Jamaican-born Australian actress who began her performing arts journey with Father HoLung and Friends, a Caribbean-style music and theatre arts group. She honed her craft in Brisbane, Australia, with the Harvest Rain Theatre Company, and later graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts in 2008. Newman has since appeared in notable productions such as The Book of Mormon and As You Like It, showcasing her versatility as a stage performer.
