Biography

Zadie Smith is a British novelist, essayist, and short-story writer born on October 25, 1975, in Willesden, London, to Jamaican and English parents. Her debut novel, White Teeth, published in 2000, was a best-seller and won numerous awards. Smith became a tenured professor in the Creative Writing faculty of New York University in 2010, teaching creative writing.
