Ato Blankson-Wood is a stage actor who made his Off Broadway debut in 2009 in a revival of Hair at the Public Theater, earning critical acclaim. He reprised his role in the musical's Broadway transfer in 2011, followed by appearances in Ifigenia in Aulide, The Total Bent, and Come vi piace, including a lead role in the 2018 Off Broadway production of Jeremy O. Harris's Slave Play. He has since appeared in several Off Broadway productions.
