Clare McConnell is a Canadian actress known for her recurring roles as Effie Newsome Crabtree in Murdoch Mysteries and Dennas in Star Trek: Discovery. A graduate of the Toronto company of The Second City, she received a Canadian Comedy Award nomination for Best Breakout Artist in 2017. Her performances have also been recognized with a Canadian Screen Award nomination for Best Supporting Performance in a Web Series in 2023.
