Oleg Kalugin
Biography
Oleg Kalugin is a former KGB general and journalism student who spent seven months in the United States on a Fulbright scholarship in 1958. He was recruited by the KGB and initially posed as a journalist, but later became a head of KGB political operations in the US. Kalugin was stripped of his rank and awards in 2002 and later became a US citizen in 2003, after being convicted of spying for the West in absentia.
