Coleen Fitzgibbon

Biography

Coleen Fitzgibbon is an American experimental film artist born in 1950. She was a student of influential filmmakers and artists, studying Structuralist cinema at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and the Whitney Independent Study Program. Fitzgibbon co-founded Collaborative Projects, Inc. (Colab) in 1977, a conceptual art project that brought together forty-plus artists, and has worked on various film and sound projects with notable artists.
