Edith Fellows

Biography

Edith Fellows was born on May 20, 1923, in Boston, Massachusetts, and moved to Charlotte, North Carolina with her family at a young age. She began dance lessons to address her walking difficulties as a toddler, but her first foray into show business ended in disappointment when she arrived in Hollywood with a fake talent scout. Instead, Edith's grandmother found work doing housework, and Edith landed her breakthrough role in 1929's Movie Night at just five years old, followed by notable performances in Pennies from Heaven (1936) and The Five Little Peppers series.
