Earle Hyman was a stage, television, and film actor with a notable career. He is best known for his roles as the voice of Panthro in ThunderCats and as Russell Huxtable, Cliff's father, on The Cosby Show. Born George Earle Plummer in 1926, Hyman drew inspiration from early performances, including a church play at age 4 and a Broadway debut in 1943.
