Biography

Eleanor Rosalynn Carter was a pioneering humanitarian and advocate for women's rights and mental health. As the first lady of the United States from 1977 to 1981, she championed mental health awareness and was a leading advocate for the rights of women. She supported her husband Jimmy Carter's presidential campaigns, including his successful bid in 1976, and continued to be a force for positive change throughout her life.
