Biography

Jancis Mary Robinson OBE is a British wine critic, journalist, and wine writer. Born on April 22, 1950, in Carlisle, she studied mathematics and philosophy at Oxford University before working in marketing for Thomson Holidays. She became a Master of Wine in 1984 and went on to advise the wine cellar of Queen Elizabeth II, earning recognition as one of the world's leading wine writers.
