Aaron Russo

Biography

Aaron Russo was a multifaceted American entertainment businessman and filmmaker, best known for producing critically acclaimed films like Trading Places, Wise Guys, and The Rose. Later in life, he created thought-provoking documentaries such as Mad as Hell and America: Freedom to Fascism, which explored libertarian themes and challenged government policies. A devoted activist and public servant, Russo sought office as both a Republican and Libertarian before passing away in 2007 after a six-year battle with bladder cancer.
