Sérgio Moro is a Brazilian federal judge and politician born on August 1, 1972. He gained national attention in 2015 as a lead judge in Operation Car Wash, a corruption and bribery investigation involving government officials and business executives. Moro served as Minister of Justice and Public Security under Jair Bolsonaro from 2019 to 2020, before being elected to the Federal Senate for Paraná in October 2022.
