Sumire Matsubara, known mononymously as Sumire, is a Japanese actress, singer, and fashion model born on July 15, 1990, in Tokyo. She is the daughter of entertainers Junichi Ishida and Chiaki Matsubara, and her early life was marked by frequent moves between Japan and Hawaii, where she developed a passion for the arts. Sumire later attended Carnegie Mellon University, where she studied musical theater and acting.
