Tonea Stewart is a veteran actress and educator born on February 3, 1947, in Greenwood, Mississippi. She concurrently pursued acting and teaching careers until her retirement from academia, earning notable roles in TV series "In the Heat of the Night" and films "Come Sunday" and "A Time to Kill." A former dean at Alabama State University's College of Visual and Performing Arts, Stewart has been recognized for her work with an NAACP Image Award nomination.
