Biography

Professor Sir Michael Marmot is a renowned epidemiologist and public health expert, distinguished by his groundbreaking research on health inequalities and his leadership roles at the University College London. He has been recognized with prestigious awards, including the Balzan Prize for Epidemiology and the Prince Mahidol Award for public health. Marmot has also been elected to the American Philosophical Society and appointed a Member of the Order of the Companions of Honour.
