Renato Berta is a Swiss cinematographer and film director known for his collaborations with Alain Tanner and Jean-Marie Straub. He has worked as cinematographer in over 100 films since 1969, earning awards for his work on Au revoir les enfants (1988) and We Believed (2011). Berta was also awarded the Chevalier of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in 2013 for his contributions to cinema.
