Tanya Lapointe

Biography

Tanya Lapointe is a Canadian filmmaker and former journalist, most noted for her 2020 documentary film The Paper Man (Lafortune en papier). Her work has also been featured in Denis Villeneuve's Dune film trilogy, for which she was nominated for an Academy Award alongside Villeneuve for Best Picture. Lapointe's debut documentary, 50/50, examined the gender gap between men and women in society, broadcast by Radio-Canada in 2018.
