Phil Donahue was a pioneering American media personality and talk show host, creator of The Phil Donahue Show, which ran for 29 years from 1967 to 1996. His shows tackled divisive issues like abortion, consumer protection, civil rights, and war issues, earning him the nickname "the king of daytime talk." He was a frequent guest on his own program, often debating with Ralph Nader, and later hosted a show on MSNBC before passing away in 2024.
