Hiroshi Ishiguro is a Japanese roboticist and engineer, born on October 23, 1963, in Shiga, Kansai. He is director of the Intelligent Robotics Laboratory at Osaka University, where he focuses on creating robots with lifelike appearance and behavior. Notable developments from his lab include the Actroid humanoid robot and appearances in the films "The Truth About Killer Robots" and "Samsara".
