Carsten Lorenz is a German film producer born on August 21, 1961. He is best known for his long-standing collaboration with director Roland Emmerich, having met him while studying at the University of Television and Film Munich. After completing his studies at the American Film Institute, Lorenz moved to Los Angeles in 1989 and has since produced films earning over $1 billion at the worldwide box office.
