Robert Lynn Penny was a University professor of English who turned to acting after his retirement from academia. He gained recognition for his role as the elderly man in the 2012 film "After". A renowned educator, Penny received numerous awards for his teaching, including six nominations for the Ellen Gregg Ingalls Award and the Silver Bowl Award for Literary Excellence.
