Biography

Melanie Hutsell is an American actress and comedian, best known for her work as a cast member on NBC's Saturday Night Live from 1991 to 1994. Prior to joining SNL, she performed improv comedy at the Annoyance Theater in Chicago and starred in The Real Live Brady Bunch stage production in 1990. Hutsell reprised her Jan Brady role for various Weekend Update sketches, becoming one of her most iconic characters on the show.
