Stella Mae Parton, born May 4, 1949, is a country singer and songwriter known for her hit single "I Want to Hold You in My Dreams Tonight" in 1975. As the younger sister of Dolly Parton, she rose to fame during the mid-to-late-1970s with chart-topping country singles. Stella was also part of a gospel group that sang on local television and radio programs as a child, showcasing her musical talents from an early age.
