Saul Williams is a multi-talented American artist born on February 29, 1972, in Newburgh, New York. A versatile performer, he gained recognition as the Grand Slam Champion of the Nuyorican Poets Cafe in 1996 and later became known for his lead roles in the independent film Slam (1998) and the jukebox musical Holler If Ya Hear Me (2013). His work also earned a Grammy nomination for Best Spoken Word Poetry Album.
