Biography

Ali Siddiq, born in Houston, was raised by his single mother after his parents' separation. During his 6-year prison sentence for cocaine trafficking, Siddiq discovered his comedic talent while telling jokes to fellow inmates. After his release in 1997, he started stand-up at the Just Joking Comedy Cafe and eventually became the co-host of the Apollo Night show. He showcased his unique perspective in the 2018 documentary "Ali Siddiq: It's Bigger Than These Bars".
