Biography

John Surtees, CBE, was a trailblazing English racing legend, winning four 500cc motorcycle World Championships from 1956 to 1960 and the 1964 Formula One World Championship. He remains the only person to have won World Championships on both two and four wheels. Surtees also founded the Surtees Racing Organisation team and served as the ambassador of the Racing Steps Foundation, cementing his legacy in the world of motorsport.
