Angharad Rees

Biography

Angharad Rees was a London-born Welsh actress and jewellery designer, best known for her leading role as Demelza in the BBC TV costume drama "Poldark". Born to a prominent Welsh psychiatrist father, she studied at the Sorbonne and Rose Bruford Drama College before launching her acting career in repertory theatre. She founded a successful jewellery design company, Angharad, and was married twice, first to actor Christopher Cazenove and later to David McAlpine.
