Kathleen Howard

Biography

Kathleen Howard was a Canadian-born American opera singer and character actress known for her notable roles in films such as "It's a Gift" (1934) and "You're Telling Me!" (1934). She also performed with the Metropolitan Opera from 1916 to 1928, creating the role of Zita in Giacomo Puccini's "Gianni Schicchi". Howard began her career in opera at age 22, singing in Germany before moving to America.
