Biography

Neville Smith is a British screenwriter and actor born in Liverpool in 1940. He collaborated with director Ken Loach on notable television films 'The Golden Vision' (1968) and 'After a Lifetime' (1971), and co-wrote the cult detective film Gumshoe (1971). Before transitioning to screenwriting, Smith worked as an announcer and wrote for BBC Radio, and made his acting debut in 1964.
