Biography

Yvonne Constant was a French actress, singer, and ballet dancer whose career spanned Broadway, cabaret, and film. She won a special Tony for her role in La Plume de Ma Tante and received a New York Drama Critics Citation for her performance in The Gay Life. Constant was also a Disney star, starring alongside Maurice Chevalier in the 1967 classic Monkeys, Go Home!. She received a Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres from the French Government.
