Simon McCoy is a British journalist and newsreader born on October 7, 1961, in Hammersmith. He co-anchored Sky's coverage of the Iraq War in 2003 and later joined the BBC in 2004, presenting BBC News at One and BBC Weekend News. A relief presenter of BBC Weekend News, McCoy also hosts the BBC News segment Afternoon Live, a role he has held since the channel's inception.
