Biography

Halyna Hutchins was a Ukrainian cinematographer born in 1979, growing up on a Soviet military base in the Arctic Circle. She graduated from the AFI conservatory in 2015 and was selected as an American Cinematographer Rising Star in 2019. Hutchins won an award for best cinematography at the 2019 English Riviera Film Festival for her work on "Treacle". Tragically, her life was cut short in 2021 during the filming of Rust.
