Bùi Thương Tín was a classically trained actor who made his professional debut in theatre and cải lương, gaining widespread recognition as a leading man in self-written plays. He rose to national prominence for his role as Major Lưu Kỳ Vọng in the hit franchise "Ván bài lật ngửa" (1982-1987). Notable roles include head of a bandit and Tám Thương in various films, with a record of over 200 feature film productions.
