Anatoliy Bovykin

Biography

Anatoliy Bovykin, born in Arkhangelsk, was a Soviet schoolboy who gained prominence for his lead role in the 1952 film "Maksimka". At the age of 9, he was discovered by director Vladimir Braun and cast in the film, marking his only major role in cinema. Bovykin's personal life is largely unknown, but he was reportedly familiar with filmmaker Sergei Parajanov. He tragically died in 1958 at the age of 15.
