Biography
An enrolled member of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma, Chris Eyre gained national attention in 1998 with the critically acclaimed film Smoke Signals. He was hailed as "the preeminent Native American filmmaker of his time" by People Magazine. A self-directed participant in the documentary Reel Injun (2009), Eyre has continued to share his perspectives through various projects, solidifying his place as a prominent voice in Native American cinema.
