Joe Lynch

Biography

Joseph Laurence Lynch was an Irish actor known for his roles in "Loot" as Father O'Shaughnessy and the long-running TV series Glenroe as farmer Dinny Byrne. A singer-songwriter, he recorded notable tracks like Leo Maguire's "The Whistling Gypsy". Lynch also acted onstage with the Abbey Theatre from 1967-81, showcasing his versatility in both comedy and drama.
