Brian Rix
Biography
Brian Norman Roger Rix, Baron Rix, was a British actor-manager and campaigner for disability causes. He produced a record-breaking sequence of long-running farces on the London stage and became a prominent figure on BBC television. Rix was a key advocate for disability rights, serving as president of the disability charity Mencap from 1998 until his death in 2016, after entering the House of Lords as a crossbencher in 1992.
